2. User Accounts
To use certain features of the platform, including booking classes and accessing the student dashboard, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password, and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Booking and Cancellations
We strive to provide flexible scheduling for our students. Please review our booking policies:
- Booking: Lessons must be scheduled in advance through the student dashboard. Subject to teacher availability.
- Cancellations: You may cancel or reschedule a lesson without penalty up to 24 hours before the start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time may be forfeited and charged as a completed lesson.
- Tardiness: Teachers will wait for 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you do not arrive within this window, the lesson is considered a “no-show” and will be forfeited.
4. Payments and Refunds
All payments for lesson packages or subscriptions are processed securely through our third-party payment providers. Prices are subject to change, but changes will not affect active, pre-paid packages. Due to the nature of our digital scheduling system, all payments are generally non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise during a promotional period or required by local law.
5. Code of Conduct
effiEnglish is a safe, respectful learning environment. While participating in one-on-one lessons or the Speaking Club, you agree to treat teachers and fellow students with respect. Any form of harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of your account without a refund.
6. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after such modifications constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated terms.
