The 3 Stages of Plans
Whether you are pitching an idea, saying yes, or getting out of it, use these natural chunks. Tap the blurred words to reveal them!
1. Pitching the Idea
Start casual. Make it easy for them to say yes or no.
- • Do you wanna grab a drink later?
- • Are you up for a movie tonight?
- • We’re heading to lunch. Wanna tag along?
2. Saying Yes
Show enthusiasm. Confirm the details quickly.
- • Yeah, I’m down!
- • That works fine for me.
- • Sure, count me in.
3. Declining Politely
Soften the rejection. Give a brief, valid reason.
- • I’m tied up right now.
- • I already have plans tonight.
- • Maybe another time?
Natural Dialogue

Probably around 6. We’re going to that new place downtown.
Sounds good to me. Count me in.
Hey man, are you around tonight? We’re ordering pizza and watching the game.
Ah, I’m tied up with this client project right now. I think I can’t make it.
No worries! We’ll catch up later then.
Yeah, let me take a rain check for this weekend.
