My first party!

Last month, I decided to throw a birthday party at my place, and I was over the moon about it. It was my first time hosting a big event, so I spent weeks preparing — buying decorations, ordering food, and so on. I thought everything would go smooth sailing.

But from the moment the first guest arrived, things started to go downhill. The pizza delivery was ridiculously late, and everyone was getting hungry. People started grumbling about the food, and I could feel the tension in the air. I tried to keep it cool, but I was starting to get really stressed out.

Then, John started to fight with someone over the best spot to sit. I mean, seriously? The apartment was small, and it didn’t matter where people sat! It was super awkward. Things were spiraling out of control.

As the night went on, more problems popped up. Cherry spilled a drink on the carpet — classic, right? It made me feel like I wanted to crawl under a rock. Sky knocked over the snack table, and chips and cookies were all over the place. At this point, I was just hoping the night would end quickly.

To top it all off, the music kept glitching. My carefully planned playlist kept freezing, and I couldn’t get it to play right. I was feeling totally defeated. I tried to fix it, but my guests were already over it. The party vibe had completely shifted, and I could tell no one was having fun anymore.

By the end of the night, when the last guest finally left, I was exhausted and pretty disappointed. I realized that sometimes things just don’t go as planned, and you have to roll with it. Next time, I’ll take a chill pill, and just enjoy being with my friends.
