Dear Future Me,
I hope by now you will have achieved many of the goals I’ve set for myself. I imagine that by the time you’re 35, you’ll be living in a cozy apartment, probably in a new city or country. You’ll have traveled to several places around the world, and I bet you will have learned even more about teaching and improving your skills as an ESL instructor.
Next year, I think you’ll be working on exciting new projects, helping students with fluency and preparation for exams. By the time I get there, I hope you’ll be speaking even more confidently in front of groups and have published some of your teaching materials.
I wonder if you’ll still be in a long-distance relationship, or maybe you’ll have found new ways to connect. Whatever happens, I know you’ll have continued to grow and learn, both personally and professionally.
Keep going, and remember to enjoy the journey!
