At the front desk — arrival
🧑‍💼: Good evening. Welcome to the Parkview Hotel. Do you have a reservation with us tonight?
🙍‍♂️: Hi — no reservation. Do you have any rooms available?
🧑‍💼: Let me check… Yes, we have a standard room with a queen bed available. Would you like that?
🙍‍♂️: That would be great. Can I have a non-smoking room?
🧑‍💼: Absolutely. All of our rooms are non-smoking. May I see your ID and a credit card for check-in?
🙍‍♂️: Sure — here you go.
🧑‍💼: Thank you. You are all set! Check-in is after 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m. Here’s your key card — Room 402, fourth floor. The elevators are down the hall to the left. If you need anything, dial “0” from the room phone. Enjoy your stay.
🙍‍♂️: Thanks. By the way, what time is breakfast?
🧑‍💼: Breakfast is served in the lobby from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. We also have a small gym and an indoor pool.
🙍‍♂️: Sounds good — I’ll check out the pool later.

(A few minutes later — phone call from the room)
🙍‍♂️: Hi, this is Room 402. I just got in and the sheets look like they have a stain on them.
🧑‍💼: I’m very sorry about that. Would you like us to send housekeeping up right away to change the sheets, or would you prefer to move to another room?
🙍‍♂️: Just send housekeeping, please.
🧑‍💼: Certainly. Housekeeping will be there within 5 minutes. If there’s anything else — a towel, pillow, or anything — let us know and we’ll take care of it. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.
🙍‍♂️: Thank you — I appreciate it.

(The next day — at front desk)
🙍‍♂️: Hi — I seem to have lost my key card. Can I get a new one?
🧑‍💼: Of course. Let me deactivate the lost card and issue a replacement. Do you have your ID with you?
🙍‍♂️: Yep — here it is.
🧑‍💼: Perfect. Here’s your new key.
🙍‍♂️: Will do. Thanks for your help.
🧑‍💼: You’re welcome. Have a great day!
